Dr. Andrew Hughes began his family medicine career in Columbine, Colorado in 1988. He joined the Cheyenne Regional Health System in March 2022 when he started practicing at the Plaza Primary Care Clinic. Dr. Hughes became a physician because of his love for helping people. During his time in medical school, he found that he enjoyed working with patients of all ages - particularly children and the elderly. He chose to practice family medicine so he could continue caring for all ages.

For improving longevity and quality of life, he recommends health maintenance and regular preventative screenings. He also strongly believes in the proper use of medications for chronic diseases and the use of vaccines.

Dr. Hughes and his wife have five sons and thirteen grandchildren.
