About Janelle Hoaglund, PMHNP-BC
Janelle K. Hoaglund, PMHNP-BC has been practicing since 2019 when she started a private practice in Steamboat Springs, CO. Prior to becoming a mental health care nurse practitioner, she was a nurse in a critical access hospital in the intensive care unit.
Janelle became a Nurse Practitioner due to the high demand for patient care in rural areas. Having grown up in a rural area herself, Janelle has a passion for giving back to rural populations. Mental health was rarely discussed in rural areas and Janelle wanted to bring care for all people who were quietly suffering and had no one to see for their mental health care.
In the United States, a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner is an advanced practice registered nurse trained to provide a wide range of mental health services to patients and families in a variety of settings.
As a nurse practitioner she strives to provide patient-centered care by involving those she cares for in the decision-making process. Evidence-based care is a top priority for providing the best care to her patients.
Janelle moved to Cheyenne due to her love for the Western lifestyle. When she is not caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her garden, running with her dog and cooking for loved ones.
